In wildlife, an anaconda is a large, non-venomous snake found in tropical South America.
“Anaconda”, the name means a group of snakes, but it is often used to refer only to one species in particular, the common or green anaconda (Eunectes murinus), which is one of the largest snakes in the world.
They can reach up to 30 feet long and weighs several hundred pounds. So, now the question is “Can they eat a human being ?”
Simply the answer is, Yes. But only a child or a very small adult. They cannot swallow a normally-sized adult human – the width of our shoulders makes it impossible.
Don’t believe anything in the film ‘Anaconda’ – it was riddled with inaccuracies.
If you search on the internet, may be you will find some videos, photos or news from untrusted source that anaconda eat a man. Most of them are fake.
The truth is, there is no proven record that anacondas eat humans (I found only two anaconda attacks and both of them was for child, but that say much about anacondas behavior).
Only that, they will attack, if they felt threatened, they would simply bite for self-defense.
Though in wildlife, you can’t trust anything.
A large Anaconda may “can” kill a human being, the snake is extremely powerful and if it gets to make a loop around the you, it’s all over.
